Advanced Acting for Film and Theatre
Advanced Acting for Film and Theatre
When: Tuesdays, February 4, 2025 – May 21, 2025, 7-9 PM
Where: 109 Market Street, Downtown
Tuition: $550
CLASS SIZE LIMITED TO 12 STUDENTS.
Structured for advanced students and professional actors who desire to continue stretching their acting technique, the Advanced class provides a dual focus on auditioning for film and theatre through cold reading, mock audition experience, and scene study through the use of classical and contemporary works to achieve individual goals. The curriculum will draw on the extended technique and knowledge of the great masters of acting: Stanislavski, Michael Chekhov, Uta Hagen, Stanford Meisner, Declan Donnalin, Susan Batson, and many others.
Students in the class are challenged at the highest level. The objectives are determined each semester by the makeup of the class and the specific needs of the group.
An audition is required for placement, as well as completion of Intermediate Acting for Theatre and Film, or commensurate training. New students should email actorsstudio@donnabelajaccasting.com to schedule an in-person audition consisting of 2 contrasting monologues. Please attach a headshot and resume to the email.
A syllabus will be provided to all students at the first class, as well as a written evaluation at the end of the semester.
